HAC–WR–G Meter Pulse Reader

The HAC-WR-G is a robust and intelligent pulse reading module engineered for mechanical gas meter upgrades. It supports three communication protocols — NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, and LTE Cat.1 (selectable per unit) — enabling flexible, secure, and real-time remote monitoring of gas consumption for residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

With a rugged IP68 waterproof enclosure, long battery life, tamper alerts, and remote upgrade capabilities, HAC-WR-G is a high-performance solution for smart metering projects worldwide.

Compatible Gas Meter Brands

The HAC-WR-G is compatible with most gas meters equipped with pulse output, including:

ELSTER / Honeywell, Kromschröder, Pipersberg, ACTARIS, IKOM, METRIX, Apator, Schroder, Qwkrom, Daesung, and others.

Installation is fast and secure, with universal mounting options available.

Function

Function Description

1

Data reporting

Supports two types of reporting: timed reporting and manually triggered reporting. Timed reporting refers to the module randomly reporting according to the reporting cycle (24 hours by default);

2

Metering

Supports Hall-effect metering for gas meters. It can support 1L/P, 10L/P, 100L/P, 1000L/P, .

3

Monthly and yearly frozen data storage

It can save 10 years of annual frozen data and monthly frozen data of the last 128 months, and the cloud platform can query historical data.

4

Dense acquisition

Support dense acquisition function,it can be set, the value range is: 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 60, 120, 240, 360, 720 min, and it can be able to store up to 12 pieces of dense acquisition data. The default value of intensive sampling period is 60min.

5

Overcurrent alarm

1. If the gas usage exceeds the threshold for a certain period of time (default 1 hour), an overcurrent alarm will be generated.

2. The threshold for gas burst can be configured through infrared tools.

6

Leakage alarm

The continuous gas usage time can be set. If the continuous gas usage time exceeds the set value, a leakage alarm will be generated within 30 minutes. If the gas consumption is zero within one hour , the leakage alarm will be cleared. The first leakage alarm detected each day will be reported immediately; subsequent alarms will not be reported automatically.

7

Anti disassembly alarm

The disassembly alarm function is achieved by detecting the vibration and angle deviation of the gas meter.

8

Low voltage alarm

If the battery voltage is below 3.2V and lasts for more than 30 seconds, a low voltage alarm sign will be generated. If the battery voltage is greater than 3.4V and the duration is greater than 60 seconds, the low voltage alarm will be clear. The low voltage alarm flag will not be activated when the battery voltage is between 3.2V and 3.4V. Report the low voltage alarm immediately upon detecting it for the first time every day, and do not proactively report it at other times.

9

Parameter settings

Support wireless near and remote parameter settings. The remote parameter setting is realized through the cloud platform, and the near parameter setting is realized through the production test tool. There are two ways to set the near field parameters, namely wireless communication and infrared communication.

10

Firmware update

Support upgrading device applications through infrared and wireless methods.

11

Storage function

When entering storage mode, the module will disable functions such as data reporting and measurement. When exiting the storage mode, it can be set to release the storage mode by triggering data reporting or entering the infrared state to save power consumption.

12

Magnetic attack alarm

If the magnetic field approaches for more than 3 seconds, an alarm will be triggered
